IQOS ORIGINALS DUO

- The flat and wide ceramic blade optimally heats the tobacco stick from inside, delivering real tobacco taste for up to 20 uses on one full charge, including 2 consecutive uses.
There are two devices in the IQOS ORIGINALS range currently:

IQOS ORIGINALS ONE* – a new compact all-in-one device with our time-tested HEATCONTROL TECHNOLOGY for adult users. IQOS ORIGINALS ONE delivers up to 20 uses on one full battery charge including 3 consecutive uses. *Not available on the Moldovan market.

IQOS ORIGINALS DUO: our two-piece device with time-tested HEATCONTROL TECHNOLOGY now with a new name: IQOS ORIGINALS DUO instead of IQOS 3 DUO. Delivering the same real tobacco taste for up to 20 uses on one full battery charge including 2 consecutive uses. Available in 4 new colours also with multiple options to customize your device.
It takes approximately 120 minutes to fully charge the Pocket Charger from an electrical outlet when using the IQOS AC power adaptor*.

You can charge the Pocket Charger with or without the inserted Holder.

It can take up to 10 minutes to fully charge the Holder for the first time (after opening the packaging) or after a long period of inactivity.

This is normal.

The Pocket Charger does not require a full charge to work, however we recommend to fully charge it before the first use.

For safe use, charge your IQOS ORIGINALS DUO device using the IQOS AC Power Adaptor and USB cable or original IQOS charging accessories.
To check the charge level of the IQOS ORIGINALS DUO Pocket Charger, press & release the Pocket Charger Button.

The Pocket Charger Status light will turn ON for 3 sec to indicate battery status:

- 4 LEDs = more than 75% charged

- 1 LED = low charge.

IQOS ORIGINALS DUO enables you to have two consecutive uses without Holder recharge

The number of consecutive uses available will be indicated by how many white LEDs lights illuminate on your Holder: 2 white LED lights indicates 2 consecutive uses are available.

Once you have finished the first use, there will be only one light left.

Summary: 2 LEDs on – 2 uses available, 1 LED – 1 available

If you need the second use right away, your Holder is instantly ready for itю

If you do not need the second use right away, simply put the Holder back in the Pocket Charger for a quick recharge to have 2 uses back again. In most cases, you can charge the Holder back to at least one experience faster than Holder charging of any other IQOS device. Therefore, you have no waiting time between two uses.

Holder recharge time:

•average 1’ 50’’ for charging from 0-1 Use*

•average 3’ 25’’ for charging from 1-2 Use*

•average 5’ 15’’ for charging from 0-2 Use*

•average 10’ 05’’ for full charging first time

At least 2min 20sec faster than charging the Holder of IQOS 2.4 Plus*

At least 1min 40sec faster than charging the Holder of IQOS 3*

The Holder recharge time remains the same when charged with the Pocket Charger for IQOS 3 DUO.

Applied after the Holder is fully charged for the first time or when fully depleted; may depend on conditions of use, on battery lifecycle, weather conditions and device usage.

Holder always gets charged in the Pocket Charger to allow for two experiences (plus buffer).

When the customer goes for an experience, the level of charge in the Holder will decrease (orange line).

The amount of time required to re-charge the Holder from one to two experiences depends on the level of discharge and the amount of buffer available before the experience has started.
If you already have an IQOS 3 device* and would like to use the Holder for your IQOS ORIGINALS DUO with the IQOS 3 Pocket Charger, you might need to upgrade your firmware.

This depends on when exactly your device has been manufactured

To understand whether your current device requires an upgrade, do the following:

Fully charge the Holder for your ORIGINALS DUO and insert it in the IQOS 3 Pocket Charger

Press the Pocket Charger button to check the Holder status light

If the light blinks once – need upgrade

If the light blinks twice – no need for upgrade

You can upgrade the firmware of your device in the Q Heated Tobacco Shop. After the upgrade, you will be able to charge and use the Holder for your IQOS ORIGINALS DUO with the IQOS 3 Pocket Charger.
You can use the IQOS AC Power Adaptor from the previous device versions. However, IQOS 3 DUO USB cable hosts a USB-C port, which is different from that of IQOS 2.4 Plus.
To reset IQOS ORIGINALS DUO device, press the Pocket Charger Button for 10 seconds (until lights fade out), then release. All Status Lights will turn OFF, blink three times, and progressively fade in, to confirm the RESET.
The operating temperature range for IQOS ORIGINALS DUO device is 0-50°C.
Your IQOS ORIGINALS DUO device doesn’t need to be fully charged to work but for the optimal experience, we recommend you fully charge your IQOS device before you use it for the first time.

If your IQOS ORIGINALS DUO device is fully charged, you can use it up to 20 times before you need to recharge.
Your heating blade might be broken. Check your heating blade and if that is indeed the case, we are sorry. Please contact IQOS Customer Service for assistance (0 8000 24 00 - toll free).

Your holder might not be getting enough charge from your pocket charger. Always use official AC adaptor and power cable with a power outlet and always clean the contacts between your holder and pocket charger. Click here for tutorials; how to charge and how to clean the contacts.

Your device might need a RESET. Take out your holder and put it back inside of your pocket charger. Press the pocket charger button for 10 seconds. Click here to watch the tutorial on how to reset your device. 
First check to make sure there is no visible damage to your device – if there is, don’t try to charge it.  

1. Please ensure the Holder is inserted the right way up - otherwise it won’t charge.  

2. Plug the pocket charger into a power outlet with the original IQOS ORIGINALS DUO power adaptor and cable. Always use the original power adaptor and cable and always keep the contacts clean between your holder and pocket charger. 

3. While your pocket charger is being charged, strip lights will be pulsing. Remember, a deeply discharged pocket charger may take up to 20 minutes to start charging.

If your IQOS ORIGINALS device is still not charging after this, you may try the below options.
